Two Gomoku games. Built by AIs. And yes—they (incl. this page) look spectacularly like AIs built them. That is not a bug. I find the whole chrome-plated, neon-lit, “welcome to the future” aesthetic with way too bold statements far too funny to change. Maybe someday this kind of web page will be what the blink tag is today.

The core was built locally by a 4-bit-quantized Qwen 3.8 27B. Claude Opus then joined the relay and added the professional opening rules: a small multi-model software studio living on one Gomoku board.
Black starts in the centre. White replies, then Black’s second stone must be played outside the central 5×5 area.
The same controlled start, but Black’s second stone must be placed even farther away—outside the central 7×7 area.
One player places the opening position; the opponent then chooses which colour to play, discouraging a biased setup.
A more flexible swap protocol with an extra placement option, designed to reduce prepared opening advantage further.
